London Notary Public Matthew Pryke raised £4,000 for the Fine & Country Foundation, of which he is a trustee.

Earlier this year Matthew Pryke took part in the 4 Desert Challenge to run across the Gobi Desert in China, referred to as the Gobi March. The tough ultra marathon challenge in China involved undertaking 7 marathons in 6 days in searing heat and sometimes freezing temperatures. Matthew has been a trustee of the Fine & Country Foundation, which fights the causes of homelessness, for several years.  On this basis he was delighted to be able to raise much needed funds to go towards the homeless charities which the foundation supports.

London Notary Matthew explained, “the 4 Desert Challenge in the Gobi Desert in China was a great adventure, however, raising funds for my charitable foundation was my key objective. I would like to thank all of my very generous and loyal notary public business and private clients who have supported me in making donations which have amounted to a fabulous £4,000.”

During 2012 London Notary Public Matthew Pryke, along with 45 other cyclists, took part in a charity bike ride from Paris to London for Guts in Motion.  Guts in Motion is a charity that raises awareness and much needed funds for Crohn’s and Colitis in Childhood.  The event took place in less than ideal conditions with the cyclists experiencing heavy rain for much of the journey through France.

More importantly however the charity cycle ride raised £99,000 for this excellent cause.  The money raised by the Paris to London ride will be used by the charity to continue to fund research into these debilitating illnesses and also further campaigns to raise awareness about these illnesses.

Notary clients may remember that Matthew Pryke undertook a similar charity cycle ride in 2010 and 2011.  Matthew is absolutely delighted that the event this year has raised well in excess of the £60,000 target which had been set by the charity and cyclists taking part.

Matthew Pryke comments “As a Notary Public practice based in London’s West End we take an active role in a number of charitable events.  This 180 mile cycle was a good challenge, particularly given the inclement weather we encountered.  It was all made worthwhile when it was announced earlier this week that we had raised £99,000 for this wonderful charity.  So much so that I may even take part in the event next year!”.

Later this year Matthew is undertaking the 3 Peaks challenge and an Ironman 70.3 in Prvence. For further details regarding the charitable work undertaken by this Notary Public London practice please contact Matthew Pryke on 0207 636 4422 or contact us via our website www.mdpryke-notary.com.

On April 6th 2010 we announced that Notary Public London, Matthew Pryke, had taken part in a charity bike ride from London to Paris for Guts in Motion, the charity that raises money and awareness for Crohn’s and Colitis in childhood.

Thirty two riders took part in the event (not all Notaries Public in London) and MD Pryke Notary Public was delighted to receive an email earlier this week, detailing how the £50,000 raised was put to good use.

The email from the guys at Guts in Motion details how the £50,000 will fund, “research into whether Crohn’s sufferers have a greater amount of fat around the blood vessels that surround the bowel and whether, by reducing the fat content of their diet, they can reduce the effects of this disease.”

The money raised by the Paris to London ride will be put towards the first year of a two year study which will help to tailor crohn’s and colitis treatment and adjust the medication that individual sufferers require.

The second year of study requires a further £60,000 in funding, so your favourite Notary in London will be taking up the cause once more.  As yet, the route is unconfirmed, but at MD Pryke Notary Public we’re hoping that the organisers may increase the distance to a Notary Public London to Brussels expedition, or even further afield.  This is partly to raise the further funds necessary, and partly because we enjoy seeing Matthew suffer!

For further details regarding the excellent work carried our by Guts in Motion, or for details of the forthcoming ride, please contact Notary Public London Matthew Pryke on 0207 6364422, or via the contact page on our website.

A Notary Public London to Cambridge Bike Ride took place on Sunday 12th September, in aid of the children’s charity Honeypot.  Matthew Pryke, a Notary Public in London took part in the ride, personally raising over £1500 for Honeypot.  The course was 65 miles long and started at Finsbury Circus.

Matthew says, ‘The Notary Public London to Cambridge bike ride was a great success.  We were blessed with good weather and raised a substantial amount for Honeypot which is the official charity partner of MD Pryke Notary Public.

‘Honeypot do amazing work, helping children who act as carers to parents and other family members.  As a Notary Public, London to Cambridge represents a fair distance to cycle but the efforts displayed by the Honeypot team every day truly put this in perspective.

‘The official total for the Notary Public London to Cambridge bike ride is not yet known.  The event raised £30,000 in total last year so I am optimistic we can beat that in 2010.’

Matthew is well known as a Notary Public London who undertakes charity expeditions, and last year led an expedition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Honeypot, so does he plan any further events?  A Notary Public London to John O’Groats bike ride, perhaps?  Or a Notary Public London to Land’s End expedition?

‘We don’t have any plans as yet,’ says Matthew.  ‘But we’re always interested in any fundraising events for Honeypot.  If anyone has any strong ideas I hope that they will contact me via my website or on 0207 636 4422 with any interesting projects.’

Notary Public in London, Matthew Pryke, is delighted that a bike docking station has been installed outside his offices at One Portland Place, as part of the new bicycle rental program which began operating throughout London on the 30th of July.

“We are a commercially focused London Notary Public service,” says Matthew.  “So it is vital to have offices in the heart of the Business Community.

“A central location ensures that we meet the criteria of clients looking for a Notary Public in Mayfair, a Notary Public in Park Lane, or even a Notary in Greater London.

“Previously, clients visiting our offices mostly arrived by car, taxi, or the Oxford Circus Tube station.  Now that one of the new bike docking stations has been situated just outside our Notary practice, I have noticed several clients arrive on one of the new bikes.  One told me that they made the journey from Mayfair to my Notary Public offices in Portland Place in only 5 minutes, which is remarkable for London rush hour.

“As a keen cyclist who recently completed a Paris to London Charity bike ride I am delighted that the new docking station makes our offices convenient for cyclists, and I am looking forward to seeing many more stations opened across London.”

MD Pryke Notary Public LLP is delighted to announce that the sponsored bike ride from Paris to London on behalf of Crohn’s and Colitis in Childhood raised over £50,000.

From his Notary Public office near Oxford Circus, Matthew said,

Notaries Public aren’t renowned for being active types, so I am delighted to have helped raise over £50,000 for this worthwhile charity.  We set off from Paris hoping to raise £30k and so to have beaten that target is amazing.  But don’t be fooled by the smiles, it was pretty gruelling!”

Notaries Public were not the only legal practitioners to participate in the charity bike ride, sponsored by Hammonds and WPP.  Almost forty riders completed the event to arrive at Hampton Court.
